Sophia's Cure Foundation

www.sophiascure.org/

Sophia's Cure Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity, which was formed shortly after our daughter was diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. The foundation was created to assist in funding for clinical research towards finding a cure for SMA and to offer support to families affected by this disease by providing advocacy, awareness, and education. We believe every child affected by SMA should be given a chance to live a normal life. Catherine & Vincent Gaynor

Sophia's Cure Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charity, dedicated to funding cure based research and offer support to families affected by Spinal Muscular Atrophy by providing advocacy, awareness, and education.Sophia's Cure Foundationis dedicated to ending Spinal Muscular Atrophy forever. Unfortunately SMA is considered an ??orphan disease?? and it is not profitable for a pharmaceutical company to invest money into finding a cure or treatment. It is often overlooked and forgotten about amongst much more ??popular?? diseases. All money raised is through families affected by this disease in their quest to find a cure for their children, or in loving memory of their children. Alone we are nothing, if we stand together we can move mountains.

Getty Owl Foundation was established to raise awareness for Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), the #1 genetic killer of infants under the age of two. Our foundation advocates for and supports families affected by SMA, while also raising money for research to help find a cure. There is so much to be done, and our children are counting on us. We hope you continue with us on this journey and support the cause. Together, we will wipe out SMA!
